Coaches in Washington DC are required to have First aid and CPR certification per DC Regulations rule 5-E1643.

The DCSAA requires all coaches to complete the following elements:
  1. NFHS Concussion in Sports
  2. NFHS Heat Illness Prevention
  3. CPR, First Aid, AED Certification
